What is the difference between liability coverage and uninsured coverage?

You know, usually when somebody goes to buy insurance they buy liability that way their covered if they hit someone.  You also can buy underinsured or uninsured, and that’s there to protect you if somebody hits you.  Many times drivers in Oklahoma only have $25,000 in coverage or $50,000 in coverage, and because of the high cost of medical treatment today, it is not enough.  You need to protect yourself and the way you do that is buying uninsured/underinsured coverage.

You need to ask your agent.  You need to have that coverage because if someone that only has $25,000 in coverage hits you and you have $100,000 dollars in medical bills, you can see you’re never going to get what you deserve.  That’s why you have uninsured and underinsured because you can collect under your own policy even if someone else is responsible for injuries that you suffered.
